| To reinforce panchayati raj arrangement/government & to prohibit migration from | |
| villages, DRDA offers rural development schemes helped by cental government. | |
| Important ones are -- | |
| INDIRA AWAS YOJANA-Under this scheme ,persons below poverty line in villages | |
| are provided fund/ houses for own houses in which freed bonded labour,sc/st | |
| tortured family ,families affected by natural disaster,families below poverty line & | |
| families of sc/st are selected on priority basis.The selected family is provided | |
| Rs20,000/- in three installments for the purpose. | |
| The responsibility of selection of family for the scheme has already been given to the | |
| Gramsabha.For the selection purpose one may contact to the Gram Sabha & or block | |
| offices. | |
| Now,fund of Rs. 10,000/- is also provided for elevation of roof/kachcha houses to | |
| brick/pakka houses. | |
| JGSY-Jawahar Gram Samridhi Yojana | |
| The scheme has cental /state share as 75/25. | |
| The aim of the scheme is to generate permanent assets at village level & to assure rural employment for villagers. | |
| Scheme is executed by Gram Panchayats. | |
| SGSY-Swarnajayanti Gram Swa-rojgar Yojana | |
| This is a loan cum grant scheme. | |
| The below poverty line persons are provided loan for establishing cottage/ small industries. | |

| -Reservation for OBC,too, but not more than 27 out of 100. | |
| -One third reservation for woman. | |
| -Reservation for both,Paradhan & Sadasya(Member) | |
| -Suspension of Panchayats,Pradhan,Dy Pradhan & Sadasya cancelled. | |
| -No participation of Pradhan in Pramukh Election. | |
| -No participation of Pramukh in Chairman,Zila Panchayat Election. | |
| -Age limit 21 years for contesting election. | |
| -Panchayats will make their own plans. | |
| -An independent State Finance Commission for Panchayats. | |
